The Wetlook is the emblematic technique of the DI PETSA brand, an original textile development imagined by designer, Dimitra Petsa, during her Masters study at Central Saint Martins, using couture hand craftsmanship and an innovative approach to draping to create the ethereal illusion of water rippling across the body.

The Wetlook is a symbol of self acceptance and honoring of our fluid state, embracing the natural self, the fact that we come from water, we are wet.

Each Wetlook garment is made bespoke to the individual's body measurements, intricately draped and sewn by hand, flattering the natural curvature of the form, evoking the dress of a modern priestess, like the Birth of Venus rising from a frothy ocean.

Because of the way each Wetlook is hand draped, each piece is one of a kind, and we can customize the drapery technique to contour and highlight the body in different ways, by adding more or less sheerness wetlook patches in certain areas depending on your preference.

The classic colour is White, however you can choose your own custom colourway, and we also have new Metalic Gold and Silver mesh options.

There is also the option to adorn the Wetlook with embelishements like clear quartz crystals and swarovski crystals in different colours, as well as adding embroidery techniques inspired from Ancient Greek Ritual dressing.

The Wetlook dress is inspired by the devotion of Self-Mothering, to love ones self unconditionally, embracing the strength that comes with self-acceptence of our female identity, vulnerability and emotional expressions of Wetness, which in society we are learend to constantly sanitize and shame.

Wearing a Wetlook dress in public, is a commitment to your self-birth and re-birth, the growth and healing that comes from letting go of the shame around our bodies and bodily fluids, the ecstatic release of Wetness.

The empowering symbolism of the Wetlook dress has transcended it to become a statement Bridal and Pregnancy Reveal Gown.

The Wetlook is made from a recycled stretch mesh material - meaning it can adapt to the changing phases of a woman’s body, as you gain or lose weight, or during and after pregnancy, the wetlook takes the shape of your body, as opposed to the body having to conform to the garment. 

The signature “Wetlook Dress” has garnered the attention of global fashion press and worn by celebrity muses Gigi Hadid and Nicki Minaj for their pregnancy reveal, Bella Hadid, LIZZO,  Kylie Jenner and baby Stormi for matching mother/daughter Wetlooks, FKA Twigs, Megan Fox to name a few.

Custom Order Process: 

Please email info@dipetsa.com if you would like to order a custom wetlook dress, bridal or pregnancy gown 

We require a 50% deposit upfront to confirm the order, and begin the design process, and the remaining 50% balance is due at the time of delivery.

Upon confirming a first consultation call will be set up with Dimitra, the designer to discuss your ideas for the silohette, colour and preferences for the dress. 

From this conversation, she will create a series of bespoke sketches for you to review and feedback into, until a final dress design is confirmed and colour chosen. 

A Long Wetlook dress takes around 2-3 weeks to make with dedicated care and attention from the Atelier team.  A Bridal dress may take longer between 3-6 weeks depending on the design specifications.

The Wetlook dress is made in our Atelier in Athens, Greece and shipped worldwide with tracked UPS shipping.
